Brest City History Museum

The Museum of the History of the City of Brest was opened on July 25, 1998. The permanent museum exposition features more than 800 exhibits that tell about the history of the city, from its foundation in 1019 to 1939. Initially, it was a branch of the Brest Regional Museum of Local Studies. On January 1, 2007, the museum became a structural subdivision of the culture department of the Brest City Executive Committee.
